This year Elemash expects income worth over 8bln RUR

During a press-conference on Dec 17 the director general of Elemash (Mashinostroitelny Zavor, Elektrostal, Moscow region) Oleg Kryukov said that this year the company expects an income worth 8.6bln RUR. This is 6.75% more than in 2006 and 14.7% more than in 2005.

The net profit is expected to make up 812mln RUR – 23% more than in 2006 (659mln RUR).

This year Elemash has spent 1.3bln RUR on the purchase of modern equipment and the automation of its production. Particularly, the company has launched a modernized automated line for production of fuel elements for BN-600 reactor and CEFR research reactor in China, an automated system for careful placement of fuel pellets in molybdenum containers, a stand for production of fuel element bundles for WWER-1000 reactors, a pallet packing system and other equipment. The systems are expected to help the company to reduce its production costs.

In 2007 Elemash produced fuel pellets for Sizewell Nuclear Power Plant (the United Kingdom), four mock-ups of fuel elements for floating NPPs and two mock-ups of TVSA-T (improved fuel assembly) for Temelin NPP (the Czech Republic). The company launched a unique production of titanium pipes for Kaluga Turbine Plant.

This year Elemash has started to develop a technology for production of fuel elements for WWER-440 of third generation. The new elements are expected to increase the fuel cycle economy by 5%.

The average salary at Elemash has grown by 12% t0 21,800 RUR. The growth of production and the reduction of costs have allowed the company to increase its remuneration fund by 120mln RUR and to pay bonuses equivalent to 1.5–2 monthly wages.

This year the company has spent almost 400mln RUR on social programs, over 70mln RUR on the development of Elektrostal’s infrastructure, including 55mln RUR on heating.

Next year Elemash is planning to have 9.4bln RUR sales, over 1bln RUR net profit and over 26,000 RUR average salary.
