Balakovo NPP has conducted the contest “Best Shift of Operators of Unit Control Board”

Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant has conducted a professional contest “The Best Shift of Operators of Unit Control Board.”

It was the fourth such contest. It consisted of theoretical and practical tests.

Shift B of unit 2 (shift manager R.Britayev, senior reactor operator A.Agaponov, senior turbine operator V.Gontaryov) was proclaimed the best. The last year’s winner, shift E of unit 3 (V.Sinyavin, A.Boyev and Y.Naumov), was the second, shift B of unit 1 (S.Goncharenko, M.Tuchkov and D.Novikov) — the third.

The objective of the contest is to improve the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of operators of unit control boards, to ensure the safe operation of the plant’s units, to encourage the creative activity and to enhance the safety culture of the personnel.
