Director of Leningrad NPP has congratulated his staff on the Day of Power Engineer

Dear colleagues and friends,

I am happy to congratulate the whole staff of Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant on the Day of Power Engineers, which is also the birthday of our plant: it was exactly on the occasion of the Day of Power Engineer 34 years ago that we launched the 1st unit of our plant.

2007 was a stable and fruitful year for our plant. We have realized all of our plans and had almost no problems. The past year can be considered a new page in the history of our nuclear power industry.

I am proud to say that this year we have produced almost 300mln KWh more than planned. The capacity factor made up 70% despite the spring problems with the repair of the 4th unit. I would like to thank our personnel for their high professionalism and responsibility. 

Our work gives people light and heat, ensures the stability of industry and agriculture, organizations and companies. Our electricity and heat give people civilization and comfort.

I would like to congratulate you once again and wish you happiness and success. We are faced with grandiose plans for developing our nuclear industry.
