Training course for data protection specialists

On Dec 20 State Certification Committee conducted a meeting on complex protection of data of automated systems

During a four-month training course (504 hours: 4 weeks on site, 10 weeks off-site), representatives of Mayak Production Association, VNIPIET (Sosnovy Bor), VNIIA, Balakovo NPP had learned how to use organizational, technical, computer and cryptographic methods to protect the data circulating in automated systems and were familiarized with the relevant legislation and standards, modern crypto-systems, methods for identifying users and combating viruses.

During the meeting, chaired by the head of division of the Department for Protection of State Secret and Nuclear Materials and Facilities of Rosatom A.Abramov, the trainees presented their works. The work of S.Sokolsky from Mayak PA “Analytical Substantiation of the Necessity for Creating Systems for Protection of Data in Automated System for Control of Rectification of Low-Temperature Hydrogen Isotopes” was recognized the best.

Each trainee received a state certificate allowing him/her to conduct professional activities in the field of information security.
