Servicemen guarding Kalinin NPP have moved to new houses

Today, on Dec 27, the men of military unit 3679 who guard Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant moved to their flats in a new five-storied forty-apartment house.

After the blessing ceremony, the guards were given the keys. The deputy director general-the director for special security of Rosenergoatom Concern Nikolay Safronov, the director of Kalinin NPP Leonid Martynovchenko, the deputy chief commander of the interior troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Nikolay Lubchenko, the head of the department for protection of significant state facilities and special cargoes of the chief staff of the interior troops of the MIA Vyacheslav Bolakhnin came to congratulate the servicemen.

The construction of the house is a part of Rosenergoatom Concern’s unique program for the construction of housing for servicemen guarding the REA nuclear power plants. The total cost of the program is 500mln RUR. The program is carried out jointly by Rosenergoatom’s Central Office, the command of the interior troops as well as Kursk, Balakovo, Leningrad, Kola, Bilibino and Volgodonsk NPPs.

Lubchenko said that Rosenergoatom’s support under the program was really invaluable. He pointed out that the servicemen guarding the Russian nuclear power plants performed their duties honestly and conscientiously. On behalf of the chief commander of the interior troops, Lubchenko presented the director of Kalinin NPP with a medal “For Support.”  

Martynovchenko thanked the servicemen for their service. He said that he was happy that the house had been built in time.

All the constructors were granted Rosenergoatom certificates for their diligence and efficiency.
