Valentin Kostyukov conducts his first conference as director of VNIIEF

On Jan 10 Valentin Kostyukov conducted his first conference as director of Russian Federal Nuclear Center-All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics

Kostyukov was appointed as director of VNIIEF on Dec 19 2007, while the former director Radiy Ilkayev was appointed as research manager of the center. On Jan 10 Kostyukov met with Ilkayev.

The key topic of their meeting was the fulfillment of the instruction of the head of Rosatom to draft a new strategic program for the development of the nuclear weapons complex of Russia.

The same day Kostyukov met with the head of the administration of Sarov V.Dimitrov. The sides discussed the prospects of cooperation between the authorities of Sarov and VNIIEF for improving the quality of life and enhancing the social security of the local population.
