Smolensk fulfilled 103.3% of its electricity production plan for 2007

The three units of Smolensk NPP are operating safely at a total capacity of 3080MW.

Jan 1–14 2008 Smolensk NPP produced 856mln KWh.

The radiation background at the plant and in the nearby area is within norm.

In 2007 the plant produced 19.125bln KWh – 103.3% of the plan. The capacity factor made up 75.1% — 0.9% higher than in 2006. In 2008 the plant is planning to generate 21.060bln KWh.

During the last meeting the director of Smolensk NPP Andrey Petrov pointed out that in 2007 all the NPPs of Russia generated over 158bln KWh – 102% of the plan.
