Day of Russian Press in Desnogorsk

On Jan 11, on the eve of the Day of Russian Press and the 305th anniversary of the Vedomosti, the head of the administration of Desnogorsk Mikhail Khobotov and the director of Smolensk NPP Andrey Petrov have a press-conference.

Among the invited journalists were the first editor of Desnogorsky Energostoitel daily Ivan Galopov and the well-known poet, the author of the book about the founders of the city “They were the First” Georgy Krupenin.

The most active and unbiased journalists were presented with certificates of honor of the head of the Desnogorsk administration and letters of gratitude of the director of Smolensk NPP.

Petrov pointed out that the journalists provided professional and objective coverage of the work of Smolensk NPP.

Veterans of Smolensk NPP hold a meeting

The Veterans’ Organization of Smolensk NPP – over 30 people – met in the conference hall of the Information Center of SNPP on Jan 2008. The veterans discussed the results of their work in 2007 and plans for 2008. The chairman of the Council of Veterans and Pensioners of SNPP Raisa Zlakomanova pointed out the active participation of the Veterans’ Organization in the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Smolensk NPP and its contribution to the training of young specialists.

Social support of pensioners, training of young specialists and the conduct of the Year of Family are the key tasks of 2008.
