Jubilee of nuclear submarine cruiser “Dmitri Donskoi”

The command of the Northern Fleet have congratulated Dmitri Donskoi nuclear submarine cruiser on its jubilee

They are going to meet with the crew of the submarine and to grant presents to the best men of the first vessel of Akula project (ballistic missile submarines), the biggest submarine in the world. Dmitri Donskoi is 170 m long and 23 m wide and has a tonnage of 50,000 tons. Six submarines of Akula project were launched in 1981–1989.

Today, Dmitri Donskoi is commanded by captain Oleg Tsybin.

The chief commander of the Russian Navy and the commander of the Northern Fleet are going to reward the crew of the cruiser for their high professionalism.
