Kola NPP has summed up the results of contest of young specialists

Kola Nuclear Power Plant has summed up the results of a contest of the works by the young specialists who came to the plant in 2006. Probationary employees of six departments presented a total of nine works. Since 2005 they have carried out own research on different subjects, particularly, they have studied the problems of effective equipment operation and have developed their own approaches to their resolution.

Engineer of Electric Department Alexander Popkov was the best. He is graduate of Astrakhan State Technical University. Engineer of Electric Department Ilia Testnikel and engineer of Automated Control Systems Department Maxim Konovalov were the second. Ilia is graduate of Petrozavodsk State University. Engineer of Metal Control and Testing Department Sergey Godovannik was the third.

The works of the laureates will be put into practice. The victory in the contest is a guarantee of further promotion.

The key objective of the contest is to help young specialists to carry out their own research and to put the results of their work into practice. The key criteria is economic feasibility and practicability. The plant provides its young researchers with all necessary documents and materials. The first such contest was conducted in 2002.
