Unit 1 of Kalinin NPP restarted

Unit 1 of Kalinin NPP was restarted on Jan 2008 at 3:12 AM

The unit was stopped for 24-hour repair on Jan 24 2008.

The repair is over and, presently, all the three units of the plant are in service.

As of 9:30 AM, the capacity of unit 1 made up 926MW and was being raised. The capacity of unit 2 was 1040MW, unit 3 – 1015MW.

The radiation background at the plant and in the monitoring zone is within norm.
