Technical state of Smolensk NPP

The 1st and 3rd units of Smolensk Nuclear Power Plant are operating at full capacity. The capacity of unit 2 has been reduced to 520MW following the stoppage of turbine generator 4 due to high vibration problem.

The radiation background at Smolensk NPP and in the nearby area is within norm.
