The 11th International Scientific-Innovative Conference of Students, Post-graduates and Young Specialists “Polar Lights 2008” set off at ATOMPROF on Jan 28 2008

The subject of the conference is “Nuclear Future: Technologies, Safety and Ecology.”

The program of the conference includes a plenary session and thematic meetings. During the meetings the organizers are presenting the best research works by students, post-graduates and young specialists.

The program of the conference also includes master classes, mass media and intellectual contests on natural science, literature, economics and history.

During the plenary session, the conferees heard a number of reports on the state and prospects of the nuclear industry. After the session the head of the Personnel, Social and Regional Policy Department of Rosatom Sergey Kruppo, the advisor of the head of Rosatom Igor Konyshev and the rector of Moscow Engineering Physics Institute Mikhail Strikhanov have a press-conference on innovative projects in the nuclear industry.

The conference is to last till Feb 2 2008.
