Capacity of unit 4 of Novovoronezh NPP reduced

On Feb 18 2008 the capacity of unit 4 of Novovoronehz NPP was reduced to 70%

Today, Nov 18, at 3:35 AM, following a problem in the electric drive, the capacity of unit 4 of Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant was reduced to 70%.

The unit is in service. Units 3 and 5 are operating at full capacity. On Feb 19–22 unit 4 will be stopped for the repair of the electric drive.

The radiation situation at Novovoronezh NPP is within norm. Averaged gamma radiation in the area monitored by the plant’s automated radiation control system is also within norm.
