Kurchatov residents pay tribute to memory of soldiers killed in Afghanistan and Chechnya

According to good tradition, Feb 15, on the National Day of Memory of Internationalist Soldiers, residents of Kurchatov rallied near Black Tulip monument

Representatives of the administration of Kurchatov, the local Duma, enterprises, organizations and institutions, internationalist soldiers, veterans of Great Patriotic War, young people paid tribute to the memory of their compatriots killed in Afghanistan and Chechnya.

In Afghanistan and Chechnya our compatriots discharged their duty with dignity. The orders and medals on their chests are the best proof of that, while the names of those killed in battle fields have been perpetuated on the granite plaque of the Black Tulip monument.

As a token of respect for the courage of the killed soldiers, those present fired a salute and laid flowers to the monument.
