Leningrad NPP today, Feb 22 2008

Since the beginning of this year Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant has generated 3.753bln KWh. From Feb 1 till Feb 22 the plant produced 1.542bln KWh.

Since its launch in Dec 1973 the plant has generated a total of 740.645bln KWh.

Presently, units 1, 2 and 4 are operating at a total capacity of 3,066MW.

Unit 3 has been under repair since July 2007. Presently, the maintenance personnel are repairing the valves of DU-800 pipeline, replacing the blades of turbine generators 5 and 6, pressure testing generator 5 and preparing special systems for complex testing.

The radiation situation at Leningrad NPP and in Sosnovy Bor is within norm, which proves that LNPP is safe.
