2nd “Who? Where? When?” championship took place at Kursk NPP

The 2nd “Who? Where? When?” championship took place at the Information-Analytical Center of Kursk Nuclear Power Plant on Feb 24 2008. 10 teams: the winner of the 1st championship, Barmen (Radiation Safety Department), Crystal (Decontamination Department), Skala (Thermal Automatics Department), Electron (Electric Department), Tokamak (Information-Analytical Center), Metrologies (Metrology Department), teams of Nuclear Safety Department and the Administration and two combined teams of students, Energy (Kursk Branch of Polytechnic College) and Buran (Physical-Technical School), took part in the tournament. The organizer of the championship was the Organization of Young Workers of Kursk NPP. Most of the questions the teams had to answer concerned nuclear power engineering.

The tournament consisted of four rounds with 12 questions in each. The team of Nuclear Safety Department scored 25 points and was proclaimed the winner. Three teams scored 23 points and had to answer an additional question. The chairman of the jury, the deputy chief inspector of Kursk NPP Nikolay Dus asked them: “Give the names of all the chairmen of the trade union of Kursk NPP.” The team of Administration gave more names than its rivals and was given the second place. Barmen finished the third. All the winners got Cups and cash prizes.
