Atomstroyexport organizes presidential election

Russian specialists working at Atomstroyexport’s construction facilities abroad will take an active part in the Mar 2 election of the Russian President

The biggest polling station has been opened in the village of the Russian specialists building Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran. Two employees of Atomstroyexport’s representation in Iran have gone there today to deliver necessary documents and to act as electoral commissioners.

Almost 600 people are expected to vote at the Bushehr polling station. After the voting the ballot boxes will be opened, the local electoral commissioners will prepare an official protocol and will sent all documents to the Embassy of Russia in Iran and, then, to Moscow. A group of employees of the Embassy will observe the voting process at Bushehr.

The specialists working at Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant in China and Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant in India have already voted on Feb 23 and on Feb 24, respectively.

The employees of Atomstroyexport’s representations in Beijing and Delhi will vote at the embassies of Russia in those countries on Mar 2.

Over 1,000 Russians working at the representations and construction facilities of Atomstroyexport abroad as well as people sent on short-term missions to foreign countries will take part in the voting.

Atomstroyexport CJSC is the leading Russian organization implementing contracts for the construction of nuclear power plants abroad. After the launch of two units of Tianwan NPP in China, Atomstroyexport continues building Kundankulam NPP in India, Bushehr NPP in Iran and Belene NPP in Bulgaria.
