TVEL trains personnel for nuclear industry from straight from school

Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrate Plant has organized “Peaceful Atom” intellectual games among schoolchildren of Novosibirsk

The games took place at Electron sports complex. 14 teams – over 150 children from different schools of Novosibirsk — took part in the contest. The games were dedicated to the 60th birthday of NCCP, to be marked in Sept 2008.

Director of NCCP Vladimir Razin welcomed the contestants and their supporters. He wished the children success and expressed hope that many of them would come to work at NCCP, one of the biggest and dynamically developing companies of Novosibirsk, the flagship of TVEL Corporation.

One of the priorities of TVEL is education of youths, their professional orientation and popularization of the profession of nuclear power engineering among the younger generation.

The children showed excellent knowledge. They answered questions about inventions and achievements in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy, radioactive elements and the general principles of work of a nuclear power plants, nuclear technologies, environment protection and the awards of NCCP.

The team of school #143 was the best.
The teams of schools #8 and @173 – the second.
The team of school #184 – the third.

The participants were granted prizes and gifts.
