“Young Talents” Contest has been announced in the framework of the 3rd Rosatom Innovative Forum

Dear students of specialized universities and young specialists of nuclear companies/organizations

We would like to invite you in “Young Talents” Contest that is being conducted in the framework of the 3rd Rosatom Innovative Forum organized by Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, TsNIIATOMINFORM FSUE and Atom Innovation Center.

Objective:

• to reveal and to involve talented youths in innovative business and research projects with further employment at nuclear companies and organizations);

• to establish close contacts between old highly-qualified experts and young specialists so as to ensure transfer of experience and knowledge in the field of research and innovations.

Topics:

• industrial testing
• laser, plasma and accelerator technologies
• super-conductors
• water treatment
• nano-technologies
• ecology
• power engineering and power saving
• safety and physical protection
• foresight

Deadlines:

Application period is Apr 14-May 14 2008
Examination period — May 15-June 01 2008
Awarding ceremony – June 9 2008.

Terms and requirements:

Only students of specialized universities or young specialists (under 30) of nuclear companies and organizations may take part in the contest.

The works should cover the above-mentioned topics.

The works should be based on own theses or research projects. All works should be formulated in prescribed manner in line with the information exchange rules in force at the organizations the applicants represent. 

The works should be coordinated and approved by research supervisors or immediate chiefs.

An applicant work should not be some exceptional fundamental research. It should reflect the author’s vision of the applicability of the idea/technology he presents and the possibility of its promotion on consumer markets. 

Formats:

The works should be presented in MS Word format on A4 page with page setups being 2 cm top, bottom and right and 3 cm left; Time New Roman font; 1.5 line spacing; on 10 pages at most.

All works will be examined by experts of Atom Innovation Center.

Results:

The winners will be granted cash prizes and will be offered opportunities of employment at nuclear companies and organizations. The awarding ceremony is to take place at the 3rd Rosatom Innovative Forum on June 9 2008.
