Futsal veterans are again in the field

Rosenergoatom open futsal veterans tournament is setting off on Mar 22–23

This tournament has already become a good tradition: it has been conducted for five times already. It involves employees of REA nuclear power plants over 40. The point is that most of Rosenergoatom contests are meant for youths. But everybody wants to be healthy and it is not a secret that the average age of REA employees is already over 40.

The players like this tournament and they like the excellent sports complex of Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant and the hospitality of the hosts. They like not only playing football but also talking about it as well as about their work and life.

Only four teams took part in the last year’s tournament. They showed excellent football and fought fiercely despite their age.  In the final the team of Leningrad NPP won the team of Kursk NPP 7:0. The team of Balakovo NPP beat their rivals from Kalinin NPP 2:1 in the match for the third place. The team of Kalinin NPP is the oldest but it was the first to support the initiative five years ago and has missed no single tournament ever since. 

Five teams have already confirmed their wish to take part in this year’s tournament: Kalinin, Kursk, Volgodonsk, Beloyarsk and Balakovo NPPs. So, we are looking forward to breathtaking matches and are inviting all futsal-lovers to come to Energetik sports complex on Mar 22–23.
