Kursk NPP: Special attention to ecology

«Ecology of Kursk NPP Region» roundtable is to be held at Kursk NPP on Mar 24 2008

Teachers of natural sciences of high schools of Kurchatov, representatives of the local authorities and the municipal Education Committee, ethnographers, historians and employees of the Central Chernozemye State Biosphere Reserve have been invited to take part in the meeting.

The key topic of the roundtable is the ecological situation in Kurchatov and the area near Kursk NPP and ways to protect the environment of the region. Experts will make reports on the ecological control system of Kursk NPP and the present condition of the flora and fauna of the territory near the plant and the Central Chernozemye State Biosphere Reserve.

The guests will be able to ask questions to the leading specialists of Kursk NPP and to strengthen their cooperation with the plant in the field of environment protection and ecological security.
