The team of Kursk NPP has won the 5th open futsal contest among Rosenergoatom veterans

The 5th open futsal contest among Rosenergoatom veterans (sportsmen over 40) took place in Sosnovy Bor (Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant) on Mar 22–23.

Six Rosenergoatom nuclear power plants took part in the contest: Balakovo, Beloyarsk, Volgodonsk, Kalinin, Kursk and Leningrad. In the final Kursk beat Volgodonsk 6:5 on penalties. Kalinin won the third prize by beating Leningrad 3:1. Beloyarsk finished the 5th, Balakovo – the 6th. However, Balakovo was awarded special “Fair Play” prize.

Yuri Belousov from Kalinin NPP was proclaimed the best player, Yevgeny Trebunsky from Volgodonsk NPP – the most useful player, Valery Shevchenko from Balakovo NPP – the youngest player and Gennady Velyamyakin from Leningrad NPP – the best goalkeeper.

During the awarding ceremony the deputy director of Leningrad NPP Mikhail Karrask and the chairman of the plant’s trade union Alexander Zaytsev thanked the sportsmen for their excellent spectacular performance.
