Atomstroyexport has been granted “EPCM Awards 2007”

The awarding ceremony took place in Moscow on Mar 21 2008 in the framework of international conference «Management of Investment Projects: Solutions for Consumers and EPC/EPCM Companies.»

Atomstroyexport has won the “Best Russian EPC/EPCM Company on Foreign Markets” nomination.

EPC/EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management) is a relatively new term for the big Russian business but is already wide spread. It means a complex approach to the implementation of big investment projects (for example, projects to build power plants, factories, big manufacturing facilities, etc.) when an EPC/EPCM contractor implements a project on a «turn key» basis: starting from engineering and procurement to construction and management.

The key assessment criteria of “EPCM Awards 2007” was the level of competence and the presence of finished projects in 2007. Atomstroyexport is the only nuclear company to have been awarded for its recent achievements on foreign markets.

“EPCM Awards 2007” was granted in the following nominations: «Best EPC/EPCM Company in Energy Sector,» «Best EPC/EPCM Company on Foreign Markets,» «Best EPC/EPCM Company in Oil and Gas Industry,» «Breakthrough of the Year: Most Promising EPC/EPCM Company,» «EPC/EPCM: Person of the Year,» «Effective Management by EPC/EPCM Company,» «Effective Management by Customer» and «Grand Prix: EPC/EPC – Company of the Year.»

Among the winners are Stroytransgaz OJSC, Technopromexport OJSC, Mosenergo OJSC, RUSAL, Intertechelectro OJSC.

Atomstroyexport CSJC is the leading Russian organization implementing contracts for the construction of nuclear reactors abroad. Presently, it is the only company in the world that is simultaneously building five nuclear reactors in India, Iran and Bulgaria. In 2007 ASE launched two reactors of Tianwan NPP in China.
