2nd unit of Rostov NPP: 1st steam generator mounted

The 1st of four steam generators was mounted in the reactor compartment of the 2nd unit of Rostov NPP on Mar 22

The operation was carried out by specialists of Energopetsmontazh OJSC under the supervision of their chief engineer Pavel Fyoklin. Presently, they are preparing for mounting the 2nd steam generator.

This year the constructors of Rostov NPP are planning to finish 38 facilities of the start-up complex.

During their Mar 21 meeting, the parties to the project analyzed the situation on the site and made some changes to the schedule.

By the end of March they are to finish the foundation of the turbine generator, to concrete the bottom part of the dome, to intensify installation activities in the machine compartment.

3,200 people are presently working on the site.
