Rosatom program for development of isotope production

Atom Innovation Center has begun to draft a program to develop production of isotopes and ionizing radiation sources

In line with Decree #152 (Mar 24 2008) on the conduct of Rosatom Innovative Forum and the decision of the Board of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy corporation (Feb 20 2008), Atom Innovation Center has begun to draft a program to develop production of isotopes and ionizing radiation sources. This will be one of the key topics at the 3rd Rosatom Innovative Forum, to be held in President Hotel (24 Bolshaya Yakimanka Street, Moscow) on June 9 2008.

The Organizing Committee of the Forum invites all designers of the following innovative isotope technologies, services and solutions to take part in the forum:

• isotopic tags
• products based on light and heavy mass stable isotopes
• equipment and technologies for bacterial purification of medical and food products
• water and waste disinfection
• transportation and processing of isotopes and ionizing radiation sources
• chemical sources of electric energy and radioisotope thermoelectric generator
• use of lasers for isotope separation.

All projects will be examined by experts of Atom Innovation Center. The best solutions will be presented at the 3rd Rosatom Innovative Forum as part of the complex program to develop production of isotopes and ionizing radiation sources.
