On Mar 25 Kalinin NPP conducted a contest among reactor operators

It has already become a good tradition at Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant to conduct “Best in Profession” contests among employees of different departments.

On Mar 25 the plant conducted a contest among reactor 1 operators. The contestants were tested as to their knowledge of the specifications of reactor equipment and fire safety rules as well as their practical skills: detecting mistakes in work permits, operating equipment.

Igor Zarechnev was the best, Aleksey Lavrentyev – the second, Valery Smirnov – the third.

On the same day the Electric Department conducted a similar contest among electric fitters of power distribution systems. The key assessment criteria were the quality of the practical work and the level of theoretical knowledge. Dmitry Sokolov was the best followed by Sergey Cheban and Aleksey Beliayev.
