A Rosenergoatom commission is inspecting Kola NPP

The commission is checking up if the plant carries out necessary measures to ensure the quality of service.

Each stage of operation should be described in regulatory documents and special programs. The Quality Program consists of different components. The deputy chief engineer of Kola NPP Gennady Petkevich says that the program covers the whole production process: workflow, purchase of equipment and components, control of testing of purchased equipment and safety systems, control over maintenance and replacement of equipment.

The commission comprises representatives of Rosenergoatom Concern and VNIIAES (All-Russian Research Institute of Nuclear Reactors). The chairman of the commission is Valery Lisenkov, the chief expert of the Scientific-Technical Support Department of Rosenergoatom Concern.

The results of the inspection will be summed up on Mar 27.
