Kola NPP is among the winners of the contest “100 Best Organizations of Russia: Ecology and Ecological Management”

The final of the contest “100 Best Organizations of Russia: Ecology and Ecological Management” took place in St.Petersburg on Mar 21–24 in the framework of the 2nd All-Russian Conference of the Federation Council “Ecology and Production: Prospects for Development of Economic Mechanisms of Environment Protection.”

Kola Nuclear Power Plant is among the winners.

In the last years Kola NPP has paid increasingly high attention to ecological problems. The plant carries out different ecological measures: upgrades equipment, toughens equipment and process quality standards, monitors the radiation situation on a daily basis. Kola NPP actively cooperates with the Lapland Reserve and other ecological organizations and actively contributes to the preservation of the nature of Kola region.

The contest covered over half of Russian regions. Almost 300 companies and organizations took part in the contest. The finalists represented over 80 cities and regions of Russia, including Moscow and St.Petersburg.

All the participants and guests said that the contest “100 Best Organizations of Russia: Ecology and Ecological Management” was perfectly organized and was an important event for all individuals, government and public organizations and manufacturing companies interested in the enhancement of the quality of the environment protection and ecological security of Russia.
