Since the beginning of this year Leningrad NPP has generated 6.318bln KWh

In Mar the plant has produced 1.986bln KWh.

Since its launch in Dec 1973 Leningrad NPP has produced a total of 743.211bln KWh.

Presently, units 1, 2 and 4 are operating safely at a total capacity of 3,000MW.

Unit 3 has been under maintenance for 251 days already. The maintenance personnel of the 3rd unit are presently repairing the valves of DU-800 large-diameter pipes, installing and welding a pipeline in the emergency reactor cooling system, insulating the pipelines in the reactor compartment, repairing turbine generator 5 and overhauling turbine generator 6.

The radiation situation at Leningrad NPP, in Sosnovy Bor and the nearby area is within norm, which proves that the plant is safe.

The maximum radiation background in the area monitored by the plant’s automated radiation control system is 0.11–0.13 mSvh.
