Leningrad NPP: Mar 24–30 2008
Production
Last week – Mar 24–30 2008 – Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant operated safely and efficiently.
Since the beginning of this year Leningrad NPP has generated 6.513bln KWh or 101.7% of the plan (111mln KWh more than planned for the period).
In Mar the plant fulfilled 101.2% of the plan.
Unit 1 is operating at a capacity of 1,022MW.
Unit 2 is operating at a capacity of 1,028MW. On Mar 28 at 09:00 PM the capacity of the unit was reduced to 800MW for the repair of condenser. On Mar 29 at 10:50 AM the capacity was restored.
Unit 3 is under maintenance.
Unit 4 is operating at a total capacity of 1,000MW. On Mar 28 at 09:30 PM its turbine generator was stopped for repair. On Mar 30 at 04:45 PM it was restarted.
Personnel training
22 employees were trained last week. They learned how to respond to fire, to protect labor and safely operate electric equipment.
Social and personnel policies
5 people were employed last week with 10 people undergoing employment procedure.
On Mar 25 14 students of Desnogorsk Polytechnic College came to Leningrad NPP on probation.
28 employees have been certified since the beginning of this year.
75 employees were sent to Kopanskoye sanatorium.
The team of Leningrad NPP took part in a tour of the Caucasus. Presently, Leningrad NPP is preparing for volleyball tournament among veterans of the Russian NPPs.
On Mar 28 the managers and personnel summed up the results of the fulfillment of their collective agreement in 2007.
Financial-economic activities
Financial-Economic Department submitted to Rosenergoatom Central Office a report on the plant’s incomes and expenditures in Jan-Feb 2008. During the period the plant spent 1.263bln RUR on production and sales.
Physical security, international and information activities
The plant operated safely with no incidents registered.
A group of German specialists visited Leningrad NPP last week to discuss a joint project. This week Leningrad NPP will host a joint LNPP-STUK seminar. The director of WANO Moscow Center M.Chudakov is to visit the plant this week.
Results
Today, Mar 31 2008, Rosenergoatom Concern is operating 26 units with 40 turbine generators, which are working at a total capacity of 19.3GW with the plan being 20.3GW.
Since the beginning of this year Rosenergoatom NPPs have produced a total of 42.5bln KWh.
The key task for this week – Mar 31-Apr 6 2008 – is to timely complete the maintenance of unit 3.
