Atomstroyexport sponsored “Nuclear Power Industry” nomination of PRESSZvanie international business journalism contest

The contest is conducted each year with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Russia and the Association of Managers of Russia.

Atomstroyexport’s support reflects its wish to help the journalists covering developments in the nuclear power sector and proves that the business press has a big role in the life and activities of the nuclear community.

2,000–5,000 articles have been examined in each of 11 nominations. Over 2,500 federal and regional mass media submitted their works to the contest. Preference was given to articles reflecting the key tendencies in the development of the nuclear power industry. The key criterion was competence. The best materials have been submitted to a council of experts. The head of the press service of Atomstroyexport Irina Yesipova is among them.

The jury is presently examining the works and will pass its verdict on Apr 18.

The awarding ceremony will take place in the Big Hall of RIA Novosti on Apr 22 2008.
