7,786,679,000 KWh – that’s how Leningrad NPP has produced since the beginning of this year

Apr 1–18 2008 the plant generated 1.208bln KWh.

Since its launch in Dec 1973 Leningrad NPP has produced a total of 744,678,850,000 KWh.

Presently, units 1, 2 and 4 are operating safely at a total capacity of 3,050MW.

The 3rd unit is being overhauled. Presently, the maintenance personnel are testing the water supply pipeline and preparing for the hydraulic testing of the multiple forced circulation circuit, have finished cleaning of the oil system of turbine generator 6, have repaired generator 5 and overhauled generator 6, have tested the control and protection system.

The radiation situation at Leningrad NPP, in Sosnovy Bor and its suburbs are within norm, which proves that the plant is safe and efficient.

The radiation background at Leningrad NPP is 0.13 mSvh, in Sosnovy Bor – 0.10 mSvh, which is normal for the region.
