International Literary Festival “Slavic Bells” will take place in Kurchatov (Kursk region) on Apr 18–19
It is the first that this festival is being conducted in Kurchatov. One of the organizers of the festival is Kursk Nuclear Power Plant. It is the plant’s contribution to the unity of Slavic nations, the preservation of their spiritual and cultural legacy and the education of patriotic and friendly youths.
Almost 50 writers and poets from Kursk and Briansk regions of Russia, Homyel region of Belarus, Donetsk and Sumsk regions of Ukraine. They will meet with local intellectuals and visit Kurchatov and Kursk NPP.
The 5th issue of annual international almanac “Slavic Bells” will be presented during the festival. It comprises the best poems and stories by 180 authors from Moscow, Kursk, Rylsk, Zheleznogorsk, Tambov, Briansk, Homyel, Vitebsk, Sumsk, Crimea, Donetsk. Former and present employees of Kursk NPP also have works there.
The program of the festival includes excursions, recitals, participation in church services. Such spiritual exchange will help to strengthen the ties between the nations that have common historical roots and similar cultures, religions and traditions.
