Leningrad NPP: Apr 14–20 2008
Production
Last week – Apr 14–20 2008 – Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant operated safely with no single incident registered.
Since the beginning of this year the plant has generated 8.008bln KWh or 100.9% of the plan for the period (71mln KWh more than planned).
In Apr 2008 the plant produced 33mln KWh less than planned.
Last week unit 1 operated at a capacity of 1,028MW with no stoppages during the week.
Unit 2 operated at a capacity of 1,032MW with no stoppages.
Unit 3 is under maintenance. The complex testing of its equipment is near completion.
Unit 4 operated at a capacity of 1,010MW without stoppages.
Personnel training
215 employees of Leningrad NPP were trained last week. They learned to maintain and repair equipment, to fight fire, to protect labor and to safely operate electric equipment.
Financial-economic activities
The Financial-Economic Department of Leningrad NPP sent to the Central Office of Rosenergoatom Concern a report on the plant’s performance in Jan-Mar 2008: during the period Leningrad NPP generated 6.578bln KWh with its commercial output being 5.145bln RUR.
Results
Today, Apr 21, the nuclear power plants of Rosenergoatom Concern are operating 24 units and 38 turbine generators, which are working at a total capacity of 18.1GW against planned 18.5GW.
Since the beginning of this year the plants have generated a total of 51.8bln KWh – 167mln KWh less than planned.
The key task for this week (Apr 21–27 2008) is to make necessary preparations for the restart of the 3rd unit.
