In Jan-Mar 2008 Leningrad NPP produced 26.7% more electricity and heat than in Jan-Mar 2007

The report submitted by the Financial-Economic Service of Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant to the Government of Leningrad region says that in Jan-Mar 2008 the commercial output of the plant made up 5.145bln RUR against 4.061bln RUR in Jan-Mar 2007 (16.7% more than in Jan-Mar 2006).

In Jan-Mar 2008 the plant employed 5,920 people: 5,599 of them were industrial workers (in Jan-Mar 2007 the figures were 6,123 and 5,790, respectively). The average monthly salary made up 30,291 RUR against 22,904 RUR in Jan-Mar 2007.

In Jan-Mar 2008 Leningrad NPP transferred 309.9mln RUR to municipal and regional budgets and extra-budgetary funds against 261.1mln RUR in Jan-Mar 2007: 150.2mln RUR was transferred to the budget of Leningrad region (against 127.9mln RUR in Jan-Mar 2007), 23.8mln RUR to the budget of Sosnovy Bor (16.3mln RUR) and 67.0mln RUR to the pension fund.

Since Apr 1 2002 Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant has been branch of Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Russian State Concern for Production of Electric and Thermal Energy at Nuclear Power Plants” (“Rosenergoatom” Concern)

Leningrad NPP operates four units with RBMK reactors (1000MW each). The life of the 1st unit has been extended for 15 years, the life of the 2nd unit — for five years (after the current modernization it will be extended for 15 more years). The service periods of 3rd and 4th units expire in 2009 and 2011, respectively. Their lives will be extended for 20 years.

In 2007 Leningrad NPP generated 24.633bln KWh and supplied to consumers 22.515bln KWh against 23.178bln KWh and 21.198bln KWh, respectively, in 2006. In 2007 the capacity factor made up 70.3% against 66.2% in 2006.

In 2007 the commercial output made up 16.917bln RUR or 22.3% more than in 2006.
