Three units are in service at Smolensk NPP

They are operating safely at a total capacity of 3,045MW.

On Apr 25 2008 the 1st unit will be stopped for 16-day maintenance.

Presently, the unit is being prepared for the maintenance.

The radiation background at Smolensk NPP and in the nearby area is within norm.
