Militarized fire fighting unit #14 was formed at Novovoronezh NPP on June 26 1975

The task of the unit is to put out fires, to respond to emergencies, to rescue people and to localize the consequences of possible accidents at Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant.

We in Russia have always highly respected firemen for their self-sacrificing work. On Apr 30 1649 the fire fighting forces of Russia were granted the status of professional national service.

So, this Apr 30 Russia is marking the 359th birthday of its fire service.

The present generation of firemen continues the best traditions of their predecessors. Today, the fire fighting unit #14 of Novovoronezh NPP is a powerful and efficient service of the Emergency Ministry’s Chief Department for Voronezh region. It has modern equipment and highly-qualified personnel.
