Leningrad NPP: Apr 21–28 2008

Production

Since the beginning of this year Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant has generated 8.524bln KWh or 100.2% of the plan. In Apr 2008 the plant produced 145mln less than planned due to delay in the restart of the 3rd unit.

The 1st unit is operating at a capacity of 1,032MW.

The 2nd unit is operating at a capacity of 1,026MW.

The 3rd unit is being overhauled. The campaign is near completion.

The 4th unit is operating at a capacity of 1,010MW.

All the operating units worked stably last week.

Personnel training

The operators of the 3rd and 4th units underwent additional training on the plant’s full-scale simulator in preparation for the restart of the 3rd unit.

Social and personnel policies

14 people were placed in job last week with 10 people undergoing employment procedure. 18 people were certified with 66 people certified since the beginning of this year.

Culture and sports

Last week the Energetik culture and sports complex in Sosnovy Bor hosted the final of the futsal championship of Leningrad region and the futsal championship of Leningrad NPP.

On Apr 26 Leningrad NPP hosted a conference of the youth organizations of Rosenergoatom Concern, Ukraine and Lithuania

Financial and economic activities

The Financial and Economic Department of Leningrad NPP submitted Jan-Mar 2008 personnel remuneration report to the Central Office of Rosenergoatom Concern: in Jan-Mar 2008 the plant paid 537.9mln RUR in wages.

A report on the productive electricity and heat supply in Mar 2008 was sent to the Government of Leningrad region: in Mar 2008 the commercial electricity output of Leningrad NPP made up 1.678bln RUR.

Physical safety, international and information activities

Last week Leningrad NPP operated safely. The management of the plant released a guide on how to enhance the safety regime during the forthcoming May holidays.

Swedish specialists visited Leningrad NPP last week to carry out joint measures under bilateral contracts and TACIS projects.
