RFNC-VNIIEF has awarded its young researchers

Each year the Russian Federal Nuclear Center-All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics (RFNC-VNIIEF) awards its young researchers and specialists.

RFNC-VNIIEF is one of the biggest research centers in Russia. It has over 1,200 researchers and almost 1,500 research managers. The center specializes in research related to the production of nuclear weapons. In this light, it is especially important that its researchers should develop their creative capacities. For this purpose, the institute conducts special contests among its young employees so they can present their projects, exchange experience and receive guidance from their older colleagues.

On Apr 29 the institute awarded the winners of the last year’s contest.

57 projects qualified for the final round:

• 26 research, theoretical and experimental works
• 17 design projects
• 14 technological projects.

24 works received awards.

The director of RFNC-VNIIEF Valentin Kostukov welcomed the finalists.

Kostukov and the deputy director for personnel and social security Nikolay Gusev congratulated the winners and presented them with certificates, awards and flowers.

Kostukov said that all the winners would get promotion and raise in salary.

The chairman of the Russian Professional Union of Nuclear Workers Igor Fomichyov welcomed the winners and wished them further success in their research activities.
