Three units are in service at Smolensk NPP

The units are operating safely at a total capacity of 3,046MW. On May 13 at 08:27 PM the 1st turbine generator of the 1st unit was restarted.

May 1–19 2008 Smolensk NPP produced 1.042bln KWh, since the beginning of this year – 8.229bln KWh.

The radiation background at Smolensk NPP and in the nearby area is within norm.
