With an entire year of racing in the Best In The Desert series behind him, Monster Energy‘s “Ballistic” BJ Baldwin went into the final race of the season only 1 point behind the leader. The Henderson 250 was an all or nothing battle to secure the points championship. In the end however, it wasn’t the fastest that won, but the most driven – BJ Baldwin refused to loose and imposed his will upon the other competitors. BJ ran in to some tough mechanical issues he had overcome to finish 5th in class and 10th overall and secured just enough points to take the overall Best in the Desert Points Championship for the second consecutive year. What happens when you bring Monster Energy to a Monaco party?

Let’s face it; Monaco can put on one of a party. For the last 2 Novembers though, the place has been jumping to a bigger beat than you’d bargain for as the Monaco International Clubbing Show (MICS) comes to town to bring together the leaders in the industry and lets the place run free. Based in the centre of town, the Grimaldi Forum sucks in the pioneers of the drinks, nightlife and music businesses to talk shop by day, but by night the place kicks into another gear. Bringing the show to town again in 2011, Monster Energy‘s club setup laid on the biggest vibe thanks to a packed out bar, Monster Girls and a ton of guests.
Thursday night saw the second running of the Monster Energy FMX Show down on Port Hercule. Six of the world’s best, led by Blake ‘Bilko’ Williams, Edgar Torronteras and Remi Bizuard, set about dismantling what’s possible on a dirt bike in front of thousands desperate to get a look. The intense after parties went long into the night and fair play to the crew at MICS who only opened the doors to the show again in the afternoons.
